DashCam App – Terms of Use / EULA

1. Introduction

Welcome to DashCam, developed by ByteForge.
By installing or using this app, you agree to these Terms of Use.
If you don't agree, please uninstall DashCam immediately.

These terms exist to make clear how the app should be used, what you can expect from us, and what responsibilities you have when using it.

2. What DashCam Does

DashCam turns your Android phone into a dashboard camera.
It records video, audio, and driving data for your personal use.
It can also upload those recordings to your own network share or cloud account (Google Drive or OneDrive).

3. Your Responsibilities

• Safe Driving: DashCam is a driving aid, not a substitute for safe and lawful driving. Always obey local traffic laws and never interact with the app while driving.
• Device Setup: Mount and power your device safely so it does not obstruct your view or distract you.
• Data Ownership: You are fully responsible for the recordings DashCam makes and where they are stored or uploaded.
• Local Laws: Some regions restrict or regulate in-car video or audio recording. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with any such laws before using the app.

4. Data and Privacy

DashCam records and stores data on your device and any location you choose.
We don't collect or access your recordings.

By using DashCam, you acknowledge that you've read and accepted that policy.

5. Ownership and License

• DashCam and all related code, design, and materials are owned by ByteForge.
• You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on your devices.
• You may not modify, reverse engineer, or distribute the app without written permission.

6. Limitations and Liability

DashCam is provided "as is" without any warranties or guarantees.
ByteForge makes no claims about reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a specific purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• ByteForge is not responsible for any damages, data loss, or incidents arising from use or misuse of the app.
• You use DashCam entirely at your own risk.

7. Updates and Availability

• DashCam may receive updates to fix bugs or improve features.
• We reserve the right to change or remove features at any time without prior notice.
• Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

8. Termination

You may stop using DashCam at any time by uninstalling it.
We may revoke this license if you violate these terms or misuse the app.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of your country or region of residence, unless local law requires otherwise.
